About Us

In 2009, the Minnesota Board of Teaching and the Minnesota Association for Colleges of Teacher Education (MACTE) began discussing how to include performance assessment of teacher candidates as part of state accreditation. As a result of that work and in response to a legislative mandate that teacher preparation programs require a performance assessment, the Board adopted edTPA™ in 2011. Working together, the Board and MACTE created this site to provide information and resources relating to edTPA in Minnesota.
